Many of IMS’s clients and prospects have asked us, “What separates you from the rest of the pack?” The answer is simple.
“To the best of our knowledge, IMS is the only independent company in the “lower 48” that offers complete, turnkey parts storeroom setup solutions and services without the requirement to purchase additional goods or services. Our clients are not required to purchase anything from us beyond our hands-dirty parts organizing services.”
IMS does not sell spare parts or operating supplies like Integrated Suppliers do. We organize your parts and supplies so they can be located rapidly and reordered quickly. IMS does not require that you buy any software that we recommend. We populate yours (or ours) with the physical inventory data we collect. Nor does IMS insist that any storage media be purchased through us. If the existing storage fixtures are functional and in good condition, IMS frequently reuses them. We let you make all of those decisions.
IMS’s On-Site Evaluation/Needs Analysis lists the storage fixtures we recommend, and as part of our standard setup services, we purchase them, have them shipped to the site being organized, and assemble them in the area where they are required. For CMMS or inventory-control software, IMS refers you directly to the vendor whose software best meets your storeroom and/or maintenance requirements. If you are currently using a CMMS, we structure our spare parts physical inventory data to match its requirements.
IMS requires no long-term or national contract for its services of for continued or repeat business. Each plant or business transaction is handled separately and independently. IMS is available to return for periodic, paid inspections and updates. However, once the storeroom organizing and setup is completed, and our clients have implemented our recommend day-to-day procedures, they have found that their storeroom is so well-organized, properly set up and operating efficiently, that a return visit, while helpful, is not necessary.
